We have a Culvert!

The dirt work has started on our property. Now all we need is a few days of dry weather for it to be completed so we can move forward with the slab.

Ashlyn and Santa

Santa: What do you want for Christmas?
Ashlyn: A Gator
Santa: I don't think a 3 year old needs an Alligator!
Ashlyn: No! A Princess Gator!
Santa: Oh, I'll see what I can do.

Merry Christmas!

For those of you that don't know what a Gator is: A large battery operated toy vehicle!

Grandma K.'s Party for the Batt's Grandkids

My mom had a party at her house for all her friends and their grandchildren. It was a great time! There was fishing, zebra (golf cart) rides, a tire swing, a jungle gym, and a Moonwalk! Ashlyn was exhausted after everyone left! Her best friend Carey was able to come out with her family, so we exchanged Christmas gifts too.

Jadyn's Sick

The girls and I went up to Grandma and Grandpa W.'s Farm early Thursday morning to have Thanksgiving Dinner. It was a nice visit and great food. Ashlyn is still talking about the 4 wheeler rides! Thanksgiving Day also happened to be my birthday. The big 3-0!!! Unfortunately, Johnathan wasn't able to come with us. He is still working this turn around, (which was supposed to be completed on October 24th.) At 2:00 am, Jadyn woke up and I couldn't get her to go back to sleep. She was so congested and coughing. So we decided to pack up and head back home to try to get her into the doctor's office early Friday morning. (Unfortunately, they weren't open on Friday. I guess that is what we get for using a small practice instead of one of those large ones with lots of doctors.) She has been running a fever since early Friday morning, with a bad cough and severe congestion. It looks as if she is crying all the time with her watery eyes. She has also been throwing up, which is so confusing to her. She is a child that hardly ever fusses, so I know she has to be miserable. We are going to try to wait until Monday to take her to the doctor.

Johnathan surprised me for my Birthday with a NEW CAMERA!!! So you we will be seeing some new (better quality) pictures on this blog. I just need a good two hours to go through the manual and figure out how to use it. It's one of those big ones, with oodles of features!!!

Jadyn's 6 Month Update

Jadyn measured in at 27 1/2 inches and weighed 16 pounds and 6 ounces. That places her in the 95th percentile on height and the 75th percentile on weight. I have started introducing solid foods. She is quite a picky eater already. (I guess she takes after her Mama!)

She has started crawling more (she still scoots around or army crawls to get places that are far away.) She now has three teeth and is working on her 4th.
Yesterday she got 4 shots...so she has been running a slight fever and has been a little fussy!

What a Cutie with her Piggies!

Grandma K. came to visit

My mom came over to help babysit, while I sold my frames at a local craft fair. I did alot better than I expected, and it was a nice break!

Halloween Night

I dressed Ashlyn in a Kimono that Grandpa W. had picked up for Ashlyn a year ago while he was overseas. (I had to alter it a little bit so that it would fit her.) I thought she looked precious with her hair up in a bun!

My friend Courtni, brought her two kids over. (Alexander 5yrs., Maddie 3yrs.) We ordered pizza and let the kids pass out candy. They were all extremely excited about it that we had to make them take turns. Here is a picture of them BEFORE, we said that they had to take turns! It was so cute. They stood there for 3 minutes, just staring at the door. (It took about 5 minutes for someone to show up!)

Trick or Treating

We decided to go Trick or Treating a day early. I made arrangements with a few of our neighbors and friends within our subdivision to trick or treat the night before Halloween. The girls were so cute and so excited. I actually enjoyed it. It was not as hectic and overwhelming for Ashlyn. I think she even received more candy than she would have if we would have visited twice as many homes on Halloween.
