Christmas Pictures

Santa Visits

Ashlyn was thrilled to wake up to her "vanity" from Santa. She has been telling everyone that she wanted a "vanitizer" for Christmas, just like Carey's (her best friend). She also noticed Santa's "MESS" that he made with his cookie crumbs. She quickly cleaned it up and said that he forgot to put his dishes in the sink!

Ashlyn Opening Gifts

Ashlyn was such an angel. She enjoyed giving presents to people as much, if not more, than receiving them. She got so many wonderful things. Thank you to all who were so generous to our family this year.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

After arriving at Grandma and Grandpa K's house we headed to church, where we met up with Brody, Courtney, Ryley, and Baby Brenlee. It was a very nice service in a little country church.

Ashlyn and Carey's Christmas

We met Carey's Family for dinner at Pizza Hut. (Both girls Love Pizza!) We then headed to Carey's for Dessert. We watched the girls open their gifts. Carey got Ashlyn a Personalized CD. It is so adorable. It sings songs about her, and uses her name a hole bunch. Ashlyn freezes everytime she hears her name on the radio!

Ashlyn picked out Carey's present. I'm sure Stefany loves me for that. It included a purse, some lipgloss, sunglasses, rings, and little fingernail jewel stickers.

Stefany took many more pictures of the girls together. My camera's battery wasn't charged..so I only got this one before it ran out of juice.

Conner Comes to Play

Conner came over to play with Ashlyn while his Mommy and Daddy went to a Christmas party. He is almost a year younger than Ashlyn. He loves Thomas the Train. Ashlyn and him played with her Thomas the Train Collection she received from Grandma last year for Christmas. They had a great time.

It's a GIRL

This isn't our actual ultrasound pictures. I haven't quite figured out how to scan on my new printer. But this is an image extremely similar to what we saw!
How awesome is it to see that little one in there moving around, opening its mouth, her little tongue moving around, and her eyes moving. Talk about fascinating. I think being an ultrasound person would be the coolest job in the world!

Only 2 Days Left

Only 2 days left until we find out whether or not our new addition will be a boy or a girl! At this point the baby is supposed to be 1 pound, and about 8 inches long.

Ashlyn and I were Christmas shopping yesterday and she started rubbing my belly. I asked her what she was doing...and she said, "I'm petting the baby". It was precious.

I signed Ashlyn up for a siblings class. It doesn't start until mid March, but I have heard absolutely wondeful things about it. I hope she enjoys it.

I Felt Definite Movement!!!

I felt the little guy or gal move this morning. It is always such an amazing feeling that comes with a sense of comfort. Knowing that the little one in there is doing okay and growing well. I am anxiously awaiting Dec 14th to determine the gender.

Sea World and the River Walk

We left Thursday after Johnathan got off of work to my parents house to drop Sally off for the weekend. We woke up Friday morning and hit the road. Destination San Antonio. When we arrived we went to the Riverwalk. Ashlyn found the Disney store right away. She convinced Daddy to buy her a Bambi and a Dumbo Stuffed animal.

We also headed to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. (A Waste of Money)...but we got this cute picture of Ash!

Saturday we went to Sea World. She got to watch the dolphin show and feed some dolphins. She got to watch the Shamu show. She even got to feed the lorikeets (birds...really neat experience!) We finished up the day with her favorite show. FAT MAX. (Actually is a sea lion show with a HUGE walrus at the end called Unlce Max!.) It's really cute and entertaining for the entire family.

Sunday we went to Sea World again, just for the morning. Around lunch time we decided to pack up and start our 4 hour drive home.

Prenatal Appointment

Today I had a Prenatal Appointment. I heard a strong heart beat of 154 (normal). I scheduled my ultrasound for Dec. 14th. I do hope Johnathan will be able to be there. (He is supposed to be finishing up a mini turn around at his plant!) Say a prayer that his company stays on schedule so he won’t miss this important event!

Happy Half Birthday!

Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings

After softball practice, Johnathan and James called and said they wanted to go to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Courtni and I gathered up the kids, and waited for them to arrive. We got there thinking it was going to be packed due to Monday Night Football, but suprisingly it wasn't. We picked a table off towards the back, but of course still in plain sight of the TV for the boys.

We let the kids play video games while we visited. (The video games were right next to us. The kids had a blast playing the demo's.)

Ashlyn at the Park

We took Ashlyn one beautiful Saturday morning to a local park. It was empty.

So we went to another nearby park.

It was crowded due to a birthday party. Ashlyn had a blast following the big kids (6-7 year olds) everywhere, trying to do what they were doing.

We stayed there for about an hour or so.

It was a great day with lots of wonderful memories!

Carey and Ash at Chick fil A

Stefany and I took the girls to Chick fil A for Breakfast. Of course they had a great time, as always. I sat on the computer last night organizing and burning all our pictures from the last 3 years onto cd's. It was quite amazing to see how much they have both grown and changed. It is astonishing to me how fast the last 2 1/2 years have gone by.

Pictures at Grma & Grpa K's Farm

Pictures Taken Outside on a Beautiful Day at the Farm.

Halloween

We Managed to get all of Ashlyn's Friends Together! (Granted, it is darn near impossible to get them all facing the camera!)

We took Ashlyn, Alexander, and Maddie Trick or Treating. Ashlyn was fearless. She would go as fast as she could up to each house (scary decorations and all), knock on the door, and before the people even arrived, be shouting "TRICK OR TREAT!"

Daddy and James walked the kids around while Courtni and I followed in the golf cart!

Here is our little Indian. I promise she is saying Cheese! (Any ideas on an easier word to say that truly makes them have a sweet smile instead of this forced CHEEEEEEEZZZZZ)

Ashlyn has a New Cousin!

Baby Brenlee was born October 27th. She is both healthy and beautiful. Ashlyn and I went to go see her on Sunday. It is hard to remember Ashlyn ever being so tiny! Here is her proud mother, Courtney, holding her. My parents too got to hold her at the hospital! Both are home and doing well!

Ashlyn's First Pumpkin Carving Experience

Ashlyn was...well...quite apprehensive to stick her hand down inside that big pumpkin to pull out the slimy insides! So Johnathan did the majority of it. She did help clean up the seeds that didn't make it into the trash bucket. And she loved Poking the Pumpkin with the orange spike. (Given in the carving kit.) Unfortunately, I had to take her inside while Daddy finished the details. The mosquitoes were horrendous.

Southeast Texas State Fair

The Southeast Texas State Fair came to Town! Ashlyn had a blast! Of Course we forgot our camera the first time we went so....we had to go again! Ashlyn loved all the livestock, and especially enjoyed the petting zoo. She has absolutely no fear! Which of course can be a good and bad quality! (It just means we have to watch her closely!)

She loved all the rides! Even the big kid rides like this picture shows her on! She couldn't even see over the bars. As it ended I heard her tell Johnathan, "MORE!" She is so stinkin' cute!
This was the only ride that we let her do by herself. It was a race car ride that went in a circle. It went really slow for a short straight period and then zoomed around a corner. The first time she went around the corner we saw her fly from one side of the car to the other. As most parents would be, we were worried she was hurt....NOPE...she was cracking up!
Here is a roller coaster. It was pretty tall, almost two stories tall. She refused to hold on. Instead she rode most of the time with her hands straight above her head! Johnathan said she just screamed with excitement the entire time. (I of course can't ride any of the rides...)

Ashlyn in the Pumpkin Patch

Ashlyn had a great time picking out this year's pumpkin. We took her one day after school. She managed to find an all white tiny pumpkin. (Pictured with it in her hand.)
