Busy...busy....busy

Last Night I Got My Software!!! Thank You Johnathan!!!


We are packing to head to my parent's house for the weekend. My mom and I are hosting a wedding shower for Jared and his fiance Laura. (My "Other Brother") I am hoping the weather is nice...(not raining.) It's Texas so we have to be prepared for the heat! We sent out over 50 invitations to many families, so we have no idea how many we are expecting.



While I am there, I am going to be taking pictures of one of Brody's clients and her two horses. It should be fun! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time!



As for the new house...Johnathan met with our foundation man yesterday to give him the plot plan, the floor plans, etc. He seemed to have the foundation spec sheets, but was missing all the other stuff. So now...we are hoping for a few dry days to get the slab poured.



Once the slab happens...it is a fast process. So Johnathan and I have turned our attention on our current house. We are trying to make a list of things to do to get it ready to put on the market. It will definitely tie our weekends up for a while.



Next week, we are filled with Doctor's appointments, and both Johnathan and I will be in Houston a few days. He has work and I have some photography classes I need to take. From what I hear...they are really good and worth the cost.

Beach House with The Boys and The Waterslide

On Saturday morning, we packed up and headed to a neighbors beach house. This place altered my idea of a beach house. It was a HOUSE! It was gorgeous. We stayed for about 10 hours and then headed home with two exhausted girls!

The next morning we woke up and took out the waterslide. We invited our friends over from Orange. (Mike, Laura, Connor, and Baby Elizabeth.) James, Courtni and their two joined us as well. Around 2, The Boys came over. (Of course this tickled Ashlyn because Daniel came too!)

WE CLOSED!!!

Finally, after many months, we closed on our construction loan. (Thank you Daymon for all your hard work. I only wish it would have worked out.) Now the hurdles really begin!!!

We are supposed to have materials delivered as early as Monday, yet the weeds have to be mowed. The only problem has been...we don't have a trailer to get our mower over to the property!

Johnathan has called in about every favor, and finally is headed to get one. He will be out there late tonight...trying to mow around the job site at least. 3 acres takes a lot of time to mow! Keep your fingers crossed for decent weather for the next week or two so we can get the slab done. After that...things should move quite quickly from what I hear.

Girl's Growth Charts

The girls had their annual check-ups on Friday.

Jadyn at 12 months:
is 20.5 pounds, and that is at the 36th percentile for weight.
is 30.5 inches, and that is at the 85th percentile for height.
has a head circumference of 18.25 inches, and that is at the 81th percentile for head circumference.

Ashlyn at 4 years:
is 42.2 pounds, and that is at the 90th percentile for weight.
is 41.5 inches, and that is at the 83rd percentile for height.

Girls' Birthday Party

The party preparations started the evening before when my mom arrived to help me with the girls! Johnathan went outside to set up the waterslide once the girls were asleep. To our surprise...we think it had a leak! Therefore, we started waterslide shopping at 10:30pm. My mom stayed in the house with the girls, and we headed to Walmart and HEB. We woke up early the next morning, and I sent Johnathan out to find a waterslide. He went to Sam's, Toys R Us, and Target. He arrived back home at 10:30. Just enough time to set up the slide for the kids. At 9:15 I sent my mom to pick up the cake. When she walked back in the house, she left again to take Sally dog to our friends Matt and Liz. Thanks to everyone's help, (Jenn, Jennifer, Courtni, Courtney, and my Mom) it would not have went as smoothly as it did without you guys!

We had about 12 kids and about 20 adults show-up. We really think everyone had a great time. The weather was nice...not too hot, because it was overcast.

The kids enjoyed the slide. It is the perfect slide for all ages...and allows for many more kids than the old one permitted.

Ashlyn Turns 4

Happy Birthday Ashlyn Paige!

Yesterday, Ashlyn turned FOUR! I can't believe how much she has grown just in the last year. I am taking the girls tomorrow morning for their annual check-ups. I will hopefully remember to post their heights, weights, etc.

We started Ashlyn's day by eating breakfast at Chick-Fil-A. (Her favorite place to eat!) Then I took her to school where she proudly walked in carrying dessert for her classmates. When Daddy arrived home from work, we headed back to Chick-Fil-A for dinner and then stopped by Chuckie-Cheese to play some games. She won 279 tickets and picked out lots of prizes. She wanted to watch a movie before bed, so we tucked her in and let her watch, Math Circus. She was so excited about turning 4.

Jadyn has Incredible Balance

Besides Climbing on Everything...Jadyn is now standing up all by herself for long periods of time. She occasionally will take a step or two...but will quickly resort to crawling if she has to go far. We are doing our best to encourage it. I'm trying to shoot some video of her actually walking. We'll see if I get lucky this week.

I am super excited. I have a family that I am going to take pictures of tomorrow afternoon at a local park. I'm hoping they turn out okay. I am trying to see if I can make a little extra money by taking other people's pictures. Afterall...I love taking pictures...why not make some cash doing it!

Our Little Angel's 1st Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADYN ANN

Today, Jadyn woke up to Ashlyn and me singing Happy Birthday! Her look was priceless. Normally, she wakes up to hear Good Morning. She was not sure what to think! We stayed indoors most of the day. Jadyn has had somewhat of a runny nose. (We are thinking it is due to her one year molars.) Tomorrow we are scheduled to go see her pediatrician for her check-up, however, since she isn't feeling her best, we may post-pone it until next week.

Jadyn is now trying to say more things. She usually will repeat the first sound of any word you ask her to. Like Ba for Ball, or Bu for Bunny. She spends most of the day pushing things around the house. Like cars, or Ashlyn's grocery cart. Her most favorite thing to do is to CLIMB. She loves getting inside Ashlyn's grocery cart, and climbing on Ashlyn's Stools. She gets quite pleased with herself when she achieves her goal. She has a lot of personality for a One Year Old!
