Weekend of April 18th

One of my good friends, Stefany, had a couple of extra tickets to Six Flags in San Antonio. She was so sweet to invite Ashlyn and me! We drove to through the horrible rain Saturday afternoon and arrived in SUNNY San Antonio around 6:30pm. We ate dinner at a Mexican restaraunt. Then headed to the hotel. Ashlyn and Carey had a great time performing for us in the hotel room.
The girls woke us up bright and early as always, and we stayed in the hotel until 9:30. The park wasn't supposed to open until 10. I realized I didn't pack any sunscreen so we headed to Target to grab some. While we were there...the girls found some gorgeous sunglasses. I also bought a pack of gum. Ashlyn has never had a piece of gum. She has been chewing "Kid Gum" (aka Starburst candy) since she was 2. I have always told her she had to wait until she was 5 before she could have "Mommy Gum". Well...I made it almost till she was 5. I gave her a piece out of my pack...and away she chewed! She handled it very well. I made her spit it out about an hour later before we went on a ride. Here is a picture of her with her FIRST PIECE OF GUM in the car on the way to Six Flags.
When we arrived at the park...Ashlyn noticed there really were 6 Flags. I thought that was quite ironic as I've never paid attention to that before.
Ashlyn was a blast! She rode on sooo many rides...even one that went upside down. I went on quite a few of them with her....but got to a point where I felt like I was going to lose my lunch...so Stefany rode with her, while Carey and I stayed and rested. (Thank You Stefany!)
Here are a few pictures of our great trip. I CAN'T wait to go back!!!!

Johnathan's Big Promotion

The big news was Johnathan is now a Manager out at his plant. He is quite young for this position, therefore, it is a true accomplishment. We are soooo proud of him!

Easter

We drove to my mom's after Connor's birthday party to my parents' house for the weekend. We went to Easter Service with Grandma and Grandpa K. The girl's had a blast hanging out with their cousins, Ryley and Brenlee. I hope they grow up to be great friends.

Connor turns 4

Here are a few pictures of the girls having a great time at Connor's 4 year old birthday party! What a great location, with so much to do for all ages.

Grandma's Got Her Hair Back

On Saturday after the game, we packed up and headed to my mom's to help her get ready for her "Hair Party" on Sunday.

It was quite a large gathering, about 80 people (including kids). It was good food...and good fun. Fishing, Horse Rides, Petting a 2 day old pigmy goat named Barbie, Playsets, Sandboxes, Zebra (golf cart) Rides, Easter Egg Hunt, Arts and Crafts...the whole shebang! The girls were pooped by the time we left around 6. I don't think they even made it to the highway before they were out!

Ashlyn's First Soccer Game

Ashlyn had her very first soccer game on Saturday. Her Daddy is the coach. She played pretty well, almost even scoring a goal. For her very first game with only 2 practices behind her, she did awesome! We think she would respond better to another coach...better than her daddy!

The "Radio"

On Friday night, we took the girls to the Rodeo and the Fair. Ashlyn kept referring to it as the Radio. We rode only 4 rides, as they all took 3 tickets, and each ticket was a dollar. On top of that...Jadie couldn't ride without an adult...therefore, I had to pay three dollars too!
After Johnathan got his pork on a stick, and me, my steak on a stick...YUM!, and the girls their hot-dogs...we went inside to the rodeo.
The girls had a blast playing in the stands with Maddie and Alexander, (James and Courtni got us our tickets, so our seats were right next to theirs.)

Our Cruise

Johnathan and I had a great time on our cruise. We got to spend time with some of our close friends while we were there too. By Friday, I was ready to come home because I was missing our girls. Here are a few pictures that I took while we were gone.

By-Ya, By-Ya, By-Ya

The girls stayed with Grandma and Grandpa K. while John and I were on our Cruise. I asked my mom to take lots of pictures while they were there. Mama, thank you for the journal of their time there!
