I went for one of my OB appointments and the doctor put me on bed rest. I am quite swollen with tenderness in my calf. He seemed concerned about blood clots. I've been doing my best to follow his orders, however with the holidays approaching and two little ones it's been HARD! So far I lost two pounds in one week which I attribute to extra fluid I was holding. The swelling in my legs has also gone down considerably.
I have an ultrasound tomorrow, December 30th to check my placenta. I'm anxious to see her as it's been quite a while!!! I'm currently 3 days shy of being 37 weeks, which they say is full term. Physically, I'm beyond ready for her arrival, however mentally and emotionally, I'm not. She still doesn't have a set name. We think the middle name will be Michelle. (Johnathan's sister's middle name is Michelle to give this little one a family name!). I'm torn between Kinsley and Adalyn. Kinsley is everyones favorite, however before we even started trying for a third, I had it set in my head another girl would be called Adalyn. Another factor is Ashlyn...she likes Adalyn. On her Tganksgiving school assignment, she had to write something she was thankful for for each letter in Thanksgiving. She wrote Adalyn for the A. She also has been making pictures for Baby Sister, and she keeps writing Adalyns name on them. So time will tell what we choose. ;)

Visit with Santa
Ashlyn ran a low grade fever Monday after school, so I decided to keep her home on Tuesday. Of course she woke up feeling like a million bucks, but I still didn't send her because of the schools 24 hr fever free policy. So that morning, we took Jadie to Mothers Day Out, and Ashlyn and I spent some time Christmas shopping. She picked out quite a few gifts for her grandparents and Daddy. She also got to see Santa. She was so impressed with him, thinking he might have been the real Santa and not just one of his helpers! She asked him for an easy bake oven and a ballerina for Jadie.

The next weekend Ashlyn went home with my mom for a few days, so Johnathan and I took Jadie to see Santa. When we got there the line seemed forever, so we tried to talk Jadie into waving and coming back during the work week when it wasn't so crowded. She agreed so we starred towards the parking lot after a quick wave to Santa. Just as we approached the exit she stopped and got a pouty look and said "I wanna sit on Santa's lap.". So we turned around and stood in line. (well John stood with Jadie and I sat on a bench until it was Jadies turn. She was glowing with excitement!!!

School Pictures
Here is Ashlyn's First Grade School Picture. I scanned it so it isn't the best of quality. I don't like that you can't even tell her eyes are blue in it!
I have starting taking pictures at local daycares. Only two schools have called me so far! However, it's been great money! Here is a picture I took of Jadie while trying out a background for a little daycare in China. I hope they like their pictures and I get invited back in the Spring!
Santa Hats
My mom asked me to take pictures of the girls in some Santa hats she bought for them. She is using one of them together in her Christmas letter this year. Ashlyn was very into having her picture taken....while Jadie...wanted to be doing anything else! Interesting thing...it's usually the opposite!!!

Decorating
We decided to decorate the house for Christmas. The girls were so excited since the "stuff" had been out of the attic for two days! I think that was torture on them!!! Jadie of course found a way to entertain herself after I emptied out the ornament storage container! She is so limber!!!
We put on a Christmas movie and started attaching hooks to some new ornaments we bought at Sams.

Here is the finished product. As you see Jadie is gone....she lost interest very quick! Ashlyn lost interest as well so Johnathan and I had to finish the tree....but of course Ashlyn was willing to take credit and stand in front of the finished product! :)

After we finished our tree, the girls went and started to decorate their own. Ashlyn had earned $5 for losing a tooth, so she went to the dollar store earlier that day and bought some tinsel for her tree. She also wanted to use some of the sparkly balls we didn't use on the big tree.
Jadie of course was entertaining herself! She didn't get into it until her Daddy came in the room and started to help!

Lemonade and Pappadeaux's
The girls made lemonade! They were soooo proud of themselves! When I emptied the container that night to clean it...I think they added about 8 cups of sugar. (It was all settled on the bottom!)
The next picture is one Johnathan captured while we waited to meet Grandma and Grandpa K. for lunch one afternoon at Pappadeaux's in Houston.

Thirty-THREE
Tomorrow is my thirty-third birthday!!! Crazy to think that means only 7 more years until I'm FOURTY!
The girls surprised me yesterday morning with a really cute card, some new socks!!!, a new A&M wallet, and a new camera bag!!! Each gift was perfect!!! Something I've wanted...but would probably never buy for myself!!!
Yesterday afternoon we left for a friends house to have our annual "Freebird" party and watch A&M beat Nebraska. It was a lot of fun! Then we got the girls in their p.j.'s and headed to my Mama's house.
This morning, I woke up to oodles of drawings from Ashlyn. All were beautifully colored and had written "I hope you have a happy berthay" on them! Too stinkin cute!!!
Those girls just make me light up! Ashlyn is so thoughtful and has such a big heart...and Jadie...she is just a barrel of laughs!!! She always makes me smile!!!
Tonight, Johnathan and I left the girls with my parents and we headed back home for the evening. I have picture orders to complete, as well as a board meeting for the Beaumont Children's Museum tomorrow morning. After all my to do lists are complete, we will head to Lake Charles to stay for 2 nights. We are going to try to knock out some Christmas shopping for family members and the girls while we are without little eyes and ears!
I appreciate my parent's so much for watching our Angels on their 40th Anniversary!
Congratulations Mom and Dad! Thank you for being such awesome role models!!!!

Long Time...No Type!
My goodness it's been a long time since I updated this!!!
Here she is waiting for her friends to arrive at Chick-Fil-A. We meet every Thursday morning. This particular day was Halloween.
Here are two pictures from Ashlyn's First Grade School Program. She was one of 3 girls chosen from the 1st grade to square dance! She was quite embarrassed...but did a fantastic job!!! We were so proud of her!!!

I haven't updated this in forever it seems. I have been overwhelmed with photography appointments and editing! I was asked to do Jadie's Mother's Day Out Fall Pictures. So I spent a little bit of time (A LOT of time) working on finishing that! (I have orders in and predict I will walk away with $800 after my expenses and things. Now I have to print all the pictures, sort them, and pass them back out to the parents. (AKA more work!)
I have also been slammed with Christmas Family Pi
ctures. It's been fun, don't get me wrong! I absolutely love doing it...and I love the joy I get from seeing my clients' faces
...but I have definitely taken on too much! Especially being pregnant!
I have a little more than 2 months left before "baby sister" arrives. I know it will fly by because the holidays are mixed in there!! I'm getting rather miserable!
I finally think I am in the clear for a healthy pregnancy. My Complete Previa is now just Low Lying. (Which allows for a normal birth...so n
o planned C-Section, and no more pelvic rest!)
I'm NOT diabetic!!! YEAH!
I've only gained 10 pounds so far...so that is much better than Ashlyn o
r Jadyn's pregnancy!
Our biggest stressed recently with this pregnan
cy is what to name her!!! We have gone back and forth on names...but the ones that stand out the most t
o us are:
Carsyn, Adalyn, Ember, Kinsley, Morgan.
I'm pretty sure we have finally come to a decision...but who knows, Jadyn's name changed quite a few times before she arrived! lol
I honestly don't think Christmas Cards are going to happen this year! I've been so busy taking other people's pictures...I haven't had time to ta
ke any of my own! :(
I'll look through my stuff and see if I can't post any snapshots I've captured since my last blog entry.

GOAL!
Jadie scored her first goal on Saturday at her soccer game. Not only did she score 1....she scored FOUR!!! Way to go Jadie Ann!
Ashlyn also scored a goal from a defensive position!!! I really hate that I don't get to see Ashlyn's soccer games this season. I know Johnathan is just as bummed that he doesn't get to see Jadie play her first season. Both girls have improved so much. I look forward to watching them throughout the years!!!

Jadie's First Soccer Game
We woke the girls up bright and early this morning! They both had soccer games starting at 8. Ashlyn's actually started right at 8 and Jadie's started at 8:30. It basically gave me enough time to watch 10 minutes of Ashlyn's game before I had to walk Jadie over to her field so her game could get started! Jadie's age group (U4) has been combined with U5 (4 and 5 year olds). I'm pretty sure the team we played today were all 5 year olds. On Jadie's team there is only one 5 year old. The rest are young 4's and 3's. Jadie happens to be the baby of the team!
For being the youngest....she did GREAT! The other team was all at least a half a head taller than her...but that didn't keep her from getting in there and kicking at the ball!
She fell down 3 times during the game...and never once cried! (When the other girls fell, their parent's had to come carry them off the field...the tears wouldn't stop!!!) We have such a "Tough Girl", as Jadie calls herself!!!
She didn't score any goals...although...she says she is gonna keep trying to score one for Coach Trey. (Obviously, that is her coaches name! ;)
Johnathan finished up coaching Ashlyn's team...who won!!! Ashlyn scored a goal!!!! They headed over to try to catch Jadie playing...but it was too late!!! I do hope he gets to see her play a bit during this season...it's sooooo cute! And I was sooo impressed that our little princess was able to keep up with all those 5 year olds!!! Way to go Jadie!!!
Here are a few pictures of Jadie's game. Notice the height difference between her and the red team's players! Also notice the smile on our angel's face the ENTIRE time!!!!
