Let the Potty Training Begin

I have decided to finally potty train Jadie, since she is showing all the signs that she is ready. (Even taking off her diaper and handing it to me after she has filled it. FUN!)

"Ow! Mama, I hurt my tootie!"

Jadie was playing, suddenly stopped, walked over to me, and said: "Ow!, Mama, I hurt my tootie!" I couldn't resist laughing. It was just too cute.

Another thing our little comedian has started saying is. "Oh No! What happened here GUYS?!

She also says "I wanna go WOMEN!" It translates to "I want to go swimming."

I love this age!!!

VBS at Grandma and Grandpa K.'s

Ashlyn Ready to go to VBS. Mean Grandma....She had to tell Jadie "No!"
Jadie found this hat and wore it all morning.
Jadie helping Grandma pick Cucumbers.
Jadie is showing me her cucumber here...although it is cut out of the picture.
Ashlyn helping Grandma pick squash.
Silly girl posing with her squash. At one time she had them on her head making horns.
Jadie and Brenlee blowing bubbles off of Grandma's porch.
I caught her in the act. This shot was nearly impossible to get, as she would turn her back to me evertime she saw me get ready to take a picture of her.
Here are the girls, (Jadie is running away from the ball, Ashlyn is on the right side, almost laying on the ball, and Brenlee is mimicking Ashlyn, although, you only see her backside.) playing at recreational time at VBS.

Our Angels' Birthday Celebration

We hosted a birthday party for the girls last Saturday. It was nice to have everyone out to our house for a relaxing afternoon.

Monkey Milk...Monkey Mud

Jadie told Johnathan the other day that her milk was "monkey milk". We interpretted it as "Yucky Milk", and got a kick out of her words.

A few days after that...she was playing in some "monkey mud". Again...we took it as she meant "yucky mud".

The other day, Johnathan and I were enjoying an episode of Dora the Explorer. (I have a few recorded since she LOVES Dora.)

On it...Dora had to go through some "mucky mud" to get to the end of their adventure. So now...it all makes sense!

Too Cute

Swing Independence

After 5 years....Ashlyn has figured out how to pump her legs on the swing!

Making Mama Proud

I just got this from a friend of mine. We went to her house for Memorial Day. Here is Jadie playing basketball with the big boys, (ages 6-32)!

More Painting

I have to admit...I am TIRED of painting. So I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to change the color in my master bathroom AND , my master bedroom. I've lost it.

I bought different color samples to put on the walls to make sure I got the colors RIGHT this time! I asked Johnathan to move the ladders and equipment in for me so I could tackle the job while the girls napped and during the evenings, when he was home to watch the girls.

Needless to say...that was well over a month ago. I have been maneuvering around the 13 foot ladder for too long. My mama offered to come into town and watch the girls while I painted the bathroom. Well...I put her to work! She helped me finish the master bathroom and we almost knocked out the master bedroom. Thank you mom!

I have to say Johnathan and I both have the best parents! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Today and tomorrow, I will be frantically trying to get the house ready for the girl's birthday party on Saturday. It will be low-key as always, but I still have so much to do. I have let the house work go since we have been outside moving dirt and working on landscaping. It's all catching up with me...and the mountain of clothes is almost too high to climb over to even get into the laundry room.

Jadie's Pink Eye Gone...BUT

Jadie's pink eye has cleared up, however, Ashlyn now is battling it. Jadie has now come down with a nasty cough and a low grade fever!

I took her to the doctor this morning thinking she may have strepp. I saw white stuff way at the back of her throat. Obviously, I'm still no doctor, since she just has a severe upper respiratory infection, with throat irritation from all the drainage, and fluid in her ears.

He prescribed us an antibiotic and prescription strength robitussin with codeine. (It has to be strong since I can only give her 1/4 tsp.) He said to be religious about the robitussin for two days so it doesn't turn into pneumonia.

I'm counting down the days until Ashlyn starts showing symptoms! It's about time for some healthy kids around here!!!
