Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings

After softball practice, Johnathan and James called and said they wanted to go to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Courtni and I gathered up the kids, and waited for them to arrive. We got there thinking it was going to be packed due to Monday Night Football, but suprisingly it wasn't. We picked a table off towards the back, but of course still in plain sight of the TV for the boys.

We let the kids play video games while we visited. (The video games were right next to us. The kids had a blast playing the demo's.)

Ashlyn at the Park

We took Ashlyn one beautiful Saturday morning to a local park. It was empty.

So we went to another nearby park.

It was crowded due to a birthday party. Ashlyn had a blast following the big kids (6-7 year olds) everywhere, trying to do what they were doing.

We stayed there for about an hour or so.

It was a great day with lots of wonderful memories!

Carey and Ash at Chick fil A

Stefany and I took the girls to Chick fil A for Breakfast. Of course they had a great time, as always. I sat on the computer last night organizing and burning all our pictures from the last 3 years onto cd's. It was quite amazing to see how much they have both grown and changed. It is astonishing to me how fast the last 2 1/2 years have gone by.

Pictures at Grma & Grpa K's Farm

Pictures Taken Outside on a Beautiful Day at the Farm.

Halloween

We Managed to get all of Ashlyn's Friends Together! (Granted, it is darn near impossible to get them all facing the camera!)

We took Ashlyn, Alexander, and Maddie Trick or Treating. Ashlyn was fearless. She would go as fast as she could up to each house (scary decorations and all), knock on the door, and before the people even arrived, be shouting "TRICK OR TREAT!"

Daddy and James walked the kids around while Courtni and I followed in the golf cart!

Here is our little Indian. I promise she is saying Cheese! (Any ideas on an easier word to say that truly makes them have a sweet smile instead of this forced CHEEEEEEEZZZZZ)

Ashlyn has a New Cousin!

Baby Brenlee was born October 27th. She is both healthy and beautiful. Ashlyn and I went to go see her on Sunday. It is hard to remember Ashlyn ever being so tiny! Here is her proud mother, Courtney, holding her. My parents too got to hold her at the hospital! Both are home and doing well!

Ashlyn's First Pumpkin Carving Experience

Ashlyn was...well...quite apprehensive to stick her hand down inside that big pumpkin to pull out the slimy insides! So Johnathan did the majority of it. She did help clean up the seeds that didn't make it into the trash bucket. And she loved Poking the Pumpkin with the orange spike. (Given in the carving kit.) Unfortunately, I had to take her inside while Daddy finished the details. The mosquitoes were horrendous.

Southeast Texas State Fair

The Southeast Texas State Fair came to Town! Ashlyn had a blast! Of Course we forgot our camera the first time we went so....we had to go again! Ashlyn loved all the livestock, and especially enjoyed the petting zoo. She has absolutely no fear! Which of course can be a good and bad quality! (It just means we have to watch her closely!)

She loved all the rides! Even the big kid rides like this picture shows her on! She couldn't even see over the bars. As it ended I heard her tell Johnathan, "MORE!" She is so stinkin' cute!
This was the only ride that we let her do by herself. It was a race car ride that went in a circle. It went really slow for a short straight period and then zoomed around a corner. The first time she went around the corner we saw her fly from one side of the car to the other. As most parents would be, we were worried she was hurt....NOPE...she was cracking up!
Here is a roller coaster. It was pretty tall, almost two stories tall. She refused to hold on. Instead she rode most of the time with her hands straight above her head! Johnathan said she just screamed with excitement the entire time. (I of course can't ride any of the rides...)

Ashlyn in the Pumpkin Patch

Ashlyn had a great time picking out this year's pumpkin. We took her one day after school. She managed to find an all white tiny pumpkin. (Pictured with it in her hand.)

Carey's Birthday

Saturday Morning we woke up early and followed James, Courtni, Alexander and Maddie to Jump Town in Houston. We spent the morning watching the kids have a blast. (Of course the 2 big kids aka, Johnathan and James enjoyed themselves too!)

We left there and headed to Double Daves Pizza. A favorite pizza place for most Aggies.

After leaving there we headed to Grandma and Grandpa K.s House for a weekend of Horse riding, fishing, roasting hot dogs by the bonefire, and of course ZEBRA rides! Everyone had a good time. (Hopefully I will have those pictures in a week or two - my camera pooped out on me at the party!)

Sunday it started to rain. We decided to pack up and head home. We decided to hit Free Birds off of 1960 since it was "kinda" on the way! YUM! Again...another AGGIE favorite!!!

Happy Birthday Carey!

I'M PREGNANT

Trip to Chicago

Grma and Grpa K flew with us to Chicago. We were going to attend my cousin's wedding. Of course we scheduled the flights there and our return flight during Ashlyn's "NAP" time. Needless to say...she was wide awake on both flights. (Only to crash while we were taxing to the gate!)

We made it to the wedding with only a few minutes to visit with family. It was a great time had by all. Ashlyn met a BOY! His name was Dominic. She had her heart set on dancing with him. They danced on and off all night, and the few times where he wasn't in the mood, you would think her heart was broken!

She danced all night long, and actually wouldn't let Johnathan or myself dance at all. She kept telling us to sit down! (What a stinker!)

It was a fast and furious trip, but one we will never forget!

Congratulations Robin and Josh

Grandparents come to Visit

Saturday Ashlyn had a busy day. Early Saturday morning Candace our neighbor came over to visit.

As she was leaving, Grma and Grpa K pulled in. They took us to Olive Garden! YUM! Ashlyn shared Grma's soup and bread.

Shortly after we came home Ashlyn gave her hugs and kisses goodbye, and went to bed. She woke up later that afternoon to find Grma and Grpa W had come over too! She played with her toys and shared her carton of Teddy Grahams (which Grpa W. always brings her!) with all of us.

It sure is nice of each of them to drive such a long way to come spend time with us. Ashlyn sure appreciates it, and talks about their visit for days.

Baby "Ah-Gators"

One of Johnathan's coworkers raises baby alligators. He goes and captures eggs from the local alligator's nests. Then brings them back to his place, where he incubates them until they are ready to hatch.

He called us and invited us to bring out the kids and experience baby alligators hatching.

It was truly an incredible experience. Ashlyn got to touch them. (The don't bite at this age.)

It was alot messier than I had ever imagined. Of course the messier things are...the more fascinated kids are with it!

Visit with Great Grandpa K

While we were in Iowa we stopped in as often as we could to see my Grandpa K.

Ashlyn loved putting stickers all over him, and dancing for him.

Ashlyn got so excited to see the stickers she would put on him, still there the next day.

It took her a while, but by the last day, she gave Grandpa a great big Kiss.

Aunt Kaye and Uncle Mark

While Ash and I were in Iowa, we got to visit with my Aunt Kaye and Uncle Mark. They came over to help my Mom tear down some stuff in my grandparent's backyard. After they worked for many long hours they ordered pizza. Ashlyn enjoyed both Kaye and Mark very much. Ashlyn kept insisting that Kaye put her in a box and drag her around the house!

Ashlyn has a slumber party

Carey and Maddie stayed the night with Ashlyn.

Carey's mom had a little baby boy during the night.

The girls had a great time.

Children's Museum with Carey

Stefany and I took Carey and Ashlyn to the Children's Museum. The girls' had a great time. It got really crowded so we decided to call it a day. We headed over to Free Birds for lunch, and then the hour drive home!

Ashlyn Rides Brody's Horse

Brody took Ashlyn for a Horse Ride on Dori, his Clydesdale. She was all smiles and giggles. I have a short video of her on my digital camera. I only wish I knew how to upload that to this blog!
