Ashlyn visits Alligator Hatching
Every year a coworker of Johnathan's invites his friends out to help hatch baby alligators. It has become quite an event that the families look forward to each year! I wasn't able to go this time because Jadyn is too young for mosquito spray, so we stayed home. Johnathan however took Ashlyn and they had a good time. Ashlyn got to hold one all by herself! I'm excited about taking Jadyn too next year!

Jadyn is Growing!!!
I haven't taken her back to have her measured or weighed. She isn't scheduled to go back until her 4th month. (Which is on September 1st).
But she has changed so much! She has figured out how to jump in her Jumperoo! She gets so tickled with herself. I think she might also be a little shy. She will get a big grin on her face when she catches your eye...and then quickly looks away like she is trying to hide her face.
She is still an easy baby. Actually fusses to be left alone! She can now roll from her stomach to her back and loves standing up in her walker.
She is a TV junkie! I have to watch myself and not leave her in front of the TV or she will just stare at it for hours! Before long she will be running circles around miss Ashlyn!!!
Great Grandpa K's Funeral
Jadyn and I arrived in Iowa shortly before 1am Saturday morning. Grandpa's funeral was at visitation was at 2:00 and they had a military service for him at 3:00. I am so thankful that I was able to go.
It was nice seeing my cousin's and aunts and uncles. (Aunt Faye and Jadyn pictured) I usually only see them at weddings, and unfortunately funerals.
Johnathan and Ashlyn stayed home. So it was nice that I got to show Jadyn off to all our relatives. Plus I was able to sleep in everyday! (Ashlyn is ready for the day at 6:30 sharp every morning, and Jadyn doesn't get going until 9ish.)

Ashlyn and Gymnastics
Slumber Party!
Stefany took Ashlyn home with her! They went to the pool, played in the rain, played hide and go seek in the dark, and even had a puppet show! I was worried that she would have a tough time. Usually, her nighttime routine is pretty important to her, and doesn't even like Johnathan to put her down for the night. She was a trooper and had a great time! Thank you Stefany!

Carey and Richard Glyn come to Play!

We met Stefany and the kids at Roger's Park for a morning filled with water! The kids had a great time. We stayed about an hour and then headed back to our house so Richard Glyn could take a nap. After he woke up, we headed to Stefany's favorite restaraunt. Yum Yum! Then Ashlyn piled in the car with Carey and headed to Houston for her first out of town slumber party. (Without Mommy, or Grandparents!)

I'm Feeling Crafty

I'm selling picture frames. Magnetic Ones. A Friend of mine made me one for Jadyn. I thought it was adorable. I had never seen anything like that here...so I decided to get a little creative and make some to sell and to give to friends as gifts! If you know anyone who might like these...pass my information along!

Fun Friday!!!
It's Brown Baby's Birthday

Ashlyn was so cute. I left the room and when I got back she had set up the pillows for the babies. (They were riding in a bus.) They were headed to Brown Baby's birthday party. She used plastic cups for their party hats. (You can't see on the other side of the pillows but she has 4 paper plates, 4 plastic spoons, and 4 napkins, all set up for her baby's party!

Ashlyn's Beach Excursion

Johnathan thought he was having his 30th birthday party at the beach on the weekend of the 21st. (But he was actually had a surprise party at our house on the 14th). So we went down to Crystal Beach to find a good location for his get together. We had our friends Courtni and James keep Jadyn. We took Ashlyn with us and found a spot and played for an hour. She had a great time. She has no fear! An ice-cream truck drove past, and so we all had a nice cool treat! Ashlyn of course chose the BLUE ice-cream!

Jadyn's 2 month appointment
12.1 pounds
24 inches
Those stats put her in the 90th percentile on weight and the 95the percentile on height. According to the doctor, he predicts she will be tall.
Johnathan has been out of town for business since Monday, so the girls and I have been trying to keep ourselves busy. Ashlyn has started swim lessons, every evening from 7-7:45. She is swimming like a fish. She still needs to work on swimming...take a breath....and go back under and swim some more. But she can go about 6 feet just holding her breath. She has no fear of the water!
Ashlyn is still going to school (summer program) 2 days a week from 9-1...so I get some one on one time with little Jadyn.
Jadyn is such a sweet natured, laid back baby! She just loves to look and watch her surroundings. (I've even caught her watching television a couple of times. Ashlyn rarely will sit still long enough to watch anything. So they are definitely different in that way.) She hardly fusses, and even when she does...it isn't a loud cry.
I'm trying to take lots of pictures so I can keep up with how fast she grows and how much she changes from day to day! So keep checking back for more recent pictures!
