Jadie's First Soccer Game

We woke the girls up bright and early this morning! They both had soccer games starting at 8. Ashlyn's actually started right at 8 and Jadie's started at 8:30. It basically gave me enough time to watch 10 minutes of Ashlyn's game before I had to walk Jadie over to her field so her game could get started! Jadie's age group (U4) has been combined with U5 (4 and 5 year olds). I'm pretty sure the team we played today were all 5 year olds. On Jadie's team there is only one 5 year old. The rest are young 4's and 3's. Jadie happens to be the baby of the team!
For being the youngest....she did GREAT! The other team was all at least a half a head taller than her...but that didn't keep her from getting in there and kicking at the ball!
She fell down 3 times during the game...and never once cried! (When the other girls fell, their parent's had to come carry them off the field...the tears wouldn't stop!!!) We have such a "Tough Girl", as Jadie calls herself!!!
She didn't score any goals...although...she says she is gonna keep trying to score one for Coach Trey. (Obviously, that is her coaches name! ;)
Johnathan finished up coaching Ashlyn's team...who won!!! Ashlyn scored a goal!!!! They headed over to try to catch Jadie playing...but it was too late!!! I do hope he gets to see her play a bit during this season...it's sooooo cute! And I was sooo impressed that our little princess was able to keep up with all those 5 year olds!!! Way to go Jadie!!!
Here are a few pictures of Jadie's game. Notice the height difference between her and the red team's players! Also notice the smile on our angel's face the ENTIRE time!!!!

Europe

Johnathan won an award for work that took us to Europe for a week. Mom and Dad watched the girls while we were away. Of course they were spoiled and I don't think missed us very much as a result!!!

Here are a few pictures of our adventures. I have to say I like the United States!

Soccer Season has Started

Both Jadie and Ashlyn are going to play Fall Soccer this year. Jadie was so sad when her first soccer practice was cancelled. Since then, she has had 1 practice...which she did really well at...when she wanted to! I seemed to be a major distraction to her! I think it's interesting...that when she is watching her sister's soccer practice...you can't keep Jadie off the field...but when it is her own practice...you can't keep her on the field!!!

This past weekend Ashlyn participated in a soccer tournament. She did really really well, especially considering they played U8 teams. (Ashlyn is in the U7 division). They lost every game and maybe tied the last one. It was definitely an eye opener....and Johnathan knows what he needs to work on to get the girls ready for U8.

Here are a few pictures of this weekends tournament.

It's a GIRL!

I had another OB appointment on Monday. I of course asked what are the chances of a misdiagnosis for Complete Previa. He said it does happen, and since I had the ultrasound done at the ER...he wanted to do one himself. So we got another ultrasound. Since I am 16 weeks...they were able to determine the sex. A GIRL!!!

I am so excited! I have no idea what to do with a boy! But I'm terrified, as that is 3 women in the house in puberty years and me in menopausal years! Should be fun!!!! Poor Johnathan!!!!

Now we have to battle over names. We struggled with Jadyn's name...and so I know this one won't be any easier! I have one I really like, and Johnathan has one he really likes, only problem is...he doesn't care for mine...and I don't care for his.

On the plus side....we have oodles of girl clothes!!!! (And girly toys) So we are pretty much set as far as things we need for her arrival.

As far as the Complete Previa goes...the diagnosis was correct. (sad face!) I have to limit some of my activities, (ex. stairs, rocking back and forth, excessive walking etc.) I go back to see him on the 9th and of course will discuss it more on that date!

Packing

Johnathan won an award at work which allowed him to go on a trip with some of his co-workers. The destination was Europe! Fortunately, a few of the wives were able to attend too! (My first over seas flight!) The girls stayed with my Mama and Dad for the week. (We had planned to be there during that time anyway, as my mom's church was having VBS that week.)
I think the girls had a great time being spoiled and playing with their cousins, Ryley and Brenlee. Johnathan and I enjoyed our alone/quiet time, and of course exploring a different culture!!! I do have to say that I am so glad to be home!!!!

Lamar Soccer Camp

I signed Ashlyn up for Soccer Camp at Lamar University this year. It was her second year to attend...and I must say...she made quite a name for herself! She was voted "Best First Grade Player!" Way to go Ashlyn!!!!

Fender bender

On July 12th, Jadie and I were rear-ended by a lady after dropping Ashlyn off at camp. It wasn't a major accident, in fact, it didn't even phase Jadie. However, it did leave an imprint of the woman's license plate in the bumper of my car and damaged the springs that sit behind the bumper to cushion impact. As a result of the collision, the next day my lower back started to hurt. Since I was 12 weeks pregnant, my OB insisted on me having an ultrasound to just check and make sure everything was okay! I got a report back that everything was okay....BUT....I have complete placenta previa. (Means the placenta completely covers the cervix.) If this doesn't fix itself, it could mean a guaranteed C-Section to hospitalized bedrest as I progress.

Pre-natal visit #1

Yesterday I went to see my O.B. for my first prenatal appointment! He said I am measuring 12 weeks and the heartbeat was 165. I got quite nervous as it took him a solid 6 minutes to find it! If my memory serves me right, I remember Ashlyn's heartbeat always in the mid 160's. I want to
Say I've heard that the higher the heartbeat the better chances of a girl. So....we might just be having another girl if that holds true! I still have 8 weeks before they will find out the gender...Johnathan and I are both so anxious!!!

Announcement

At the beginning of April, Johnathan and I discussed and came to terms with the fact that we were finished having children. We were going to enjoy the girls at the ages they are...and move on with our lives. (We've been trying for a year to have a third.)
So we discussed a Disney vacation, we booked a 7 night cruise for 2011 and we bought ourselves a very nice in ground pool!

On May 19th, I found out I was pregnant!

I had an ultrasound done on May 28th to help determine the due date. (January 22nd)
However, during this ultrasound they found a 3 cm "septated ovarian cyst". I had a follow up ultrasound on June 16th. (If it was 4cm or larger it would have to be surgically removed which could have terminated the pregnancy.) Fortunately, at the follow-up appointment it was 2.5cm which indicates it is shrinking. I am anxious to see the doctor, but must wait until July 8th for my appointment. (I had a similar cyst over Christmas. So I have questions as to why I am producing them so frequently...they aren't "common", but they aren't "uncommon" either from what the doctor said back in December.)

Since I have heard the heartbeat during both ultrasounds, and the cyst appears to be shrinking, we are announcing our news!

Three is a little scary to me, as I only have 2 hands....but I keep telling myself I easily managed 24 seven year olds for 8 hours a day...I can handle 3 kids!!! Haha

I will do my best to keep the blog current with my pregnancy updates! Please keep us all in your prayers...as I have been quite ill as a result of the morning sickness. (Although...it's an ALL day thing!) And when Mama's sick....the household doesn't run very smooth!

Random Picture and Horse Camp

I can always count on Jadie to be a goofball!  Here is her picture from lunch when I asked her to smile!  As you can see the pink thing in her hair....it is a tiara....she was bound and determined to wear it all day!  Which she did!

My Mama signed Ashlyn up for a horse camp out at my brother's stables. She had a blast and learned a lot. I think the highlight of the camp was the last day when they got to fingerpaint the horses and then ride bareback! Notice at the very end...the horses weren't the only thing that got finger painted!!!!

Pool Update

Tuesday after Memorial Day, the pool company came out and sprayed the gunite over the steel. It's coming along nicely as long as the weather holds up! We are hopeful that it will be finished prior to the girl's birthday party....but it isn't looking good according to the 10 day forecast!

Memorial Day Weekend

We took James and Courtni and their two kids, Maddie and Alexander to Johnathan's Parents Camp House on the Bay. The kids had a great time! Even though we couldn't catch any "keeper" fish! We all had a great time!
