Tomorrow

Tomorrow we will welcome our newest family member into our lives. I think I speak for everyone that we are all excited. It's been a long 9 months with many ups and downs...and to finally see the light is an overwhelming thought!
I've been through a nauseating first trimester with the threat of a septated ovarian cyst endangering the pregnancy. I then dealt with the condition of complete prévia which would potentially put not only this angels life in danger but also my own. Then to learn of circulation problems that may cause blood clots...I'm completely relieved that we will get to hold this little girl in our arms tomorrow!
I think He makes us pregnant ladies so miserable at the end so that we can accept the torture our bodies are about to go under! I'll be honest....I'm terrified! Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge wimp and have zero tolerance for pain. So please join me as I pray myself to sleep tonight for a safe and painless delivery tomorrow as well as a healthy baby to hold in my arms!!! Thank you to all who have had to deal with my complaining!!! Its all been worth it!!!

Things I'm Going to Miss....and not!

In 6 days Dr. P. Is going to induce me. So "Baby Sister's" bday will be 1-20-11 unless she decides to make her appearance a few days earlier! So I've made a list of things to remember!
Things I'm going to miss about being pregnant:
Watching my whole belly move as she squirms inside my tummy.
The hundreds of kisses I get on my belly from Jadie Ann.
Jadie wanting and singing "Baby Sisters song" to her at naptime.
The routine we have now with only 2 little girls in the house.

Things I won't miss:
The constant feeling of having to use the restroom.
The sharp pains in my back when she hits a nerve.
Having to sleep on my left side.
The feeling of..."I've fallen and I can't get up!" when I have to get down on the ground for something.
The feeling of squishing my entire belly when I bend over to pick something up.
Not being able to cross my legs.
The queasiness that comes when she moves around sometimes.
The fear of a painful delivery.
The stress of choosing a name.
The anxiety of having a healthy baby.

Things I'm looking forward to:

Holding this little angel in my arms.
Watching Johnathan fall asleep with her laying on his chest.
Holding her tiny toosh in the palm of my hand.
Watching her sisters interact with her.
Having her fall asleep in my arms.
Watching her play with the Angels in heaven. (the smiles when she's sleeping)
That first smile.
That first giggle.
That first word.
The first step and many other milestones.
Watching her grow and change...determining who she looks like more.

I still have not made up my mind on a name. It's still between Kynsley and Adalyn. I'm still certain her middle name will be Michelle.
I guess the decision will be made before we leave the hospital...so less than 168 hours.

Another Check-up

I went to the doctor today and had another check-up. This time...no progress! So I'm still at a 2 and 60% effaced. Her head is still down...so all looks good. He is going to induce me on the 24th as he is headed out of town on the 25th...if I haven't had her before then!!! I'm READY!!!

Progress

On Monday I had an OB appointment. Dr. P. said my ultrasound looked great! He checked my cervix and said I was dialated between a 1 and a 2. I'll take that since I was never even 1's when they admitted me with Ashlyn on Jadie. He said I was 60% effaced and told me to come in after an hour of contractions that I can't get to stop. So I'm hoping this little girl arrives sooner than later as I am miserable!

Big Bad Water Leak...and a Happy New Years

On New Years Eve johnathan gave the girls a bath and noticed the grout lines were wet in their bathroom. So he looked outside the window to see water pooling up in the flower bed out front. He went outside and moved some landscaping rocks to allow the standing water to drain. Only problem was....it kept draining and draining and draining!!! So New Years Eve johnathan spent the majority of the dy searching for a water leak! Still not knowing if a line had broken under the house or just under the flower bed. (we knew it wasn't in the walls since there was no water seeping out of the weep holes.). Finally on New Years Day around 10:45 am he located the pipe and the leak!!! Fortunately, my awesome hubby is super handy and was able to fix this busted pipe that was 4 feet in the ground! (it was so cold outside and he was having to lay down in cold wet mud! To make it worse he's been sick the last week with head and chest congestion....so I know having your head in a hole in the ground had to have been miserable!). Our yard looked like a bomb exploded out front by the girls bathroom, as he had to dig up about 5 bushes to locate it! He and a buddy managed to put it all back together so it's presentable from the street. He still has landscaping rocks blocking our front door, but they can stay there until he gets to feeling better!!!

Our Family Christmas

Here is a picture of our crew after Christmas Eve Service. My mom has been begging for a family picture for years! Too bad in just a couple more days...it will be an incomplete photo!!! I'm 3 weeks out from my due date here!
Jadie sure does love her Grandpa...and of course Molly dog too! This was Jadie's first gift that she opened. I absolutely love the expression!!! She was sooooooo excited!!!I love this one! It makes me feel like I'm actually doing a good job as a mom!!! A Big Sister helping her Little Sister! (And they aren't screaming and fighting with one another!)Picture perfect moment! I captured her excitement!!!! Love this! This is one of the first arts and crafts activities she did that night!!! (She got oodles of arts and crafts...which she loves!!!)Jadie was so excited while opening these Fairy dolls Johnathan thought she was going to fall off the back of the couch!!!Here Jadie is with one of her gifts from Santa! I love her sleepy eyes and the crazy hair! She also got a ballerina music box. She dropped it within the first 8 hours! Thankfully, I gave Johnathan some super glue for Christmas...and he used it to reattach her hands and fix her busted leg. Ashlyn got a DS-i. She wasn't too sure of it at first...but has loved it every since!!!!I had made a BUNCH of cake balls, and we distributed most of them. However, I ran out of time and didn't have time to dip a batch in chocolate. So Grandma helped the girls dip the remaining cake balls in chocolate. They enjoyed it quite a bit...and of course loved the added perk of being able to clean up the mess. HahaThis is Jadie's smile. ANYTIME I ask her to look at the camera...I get the shoulder squeeze, a big cheesy grin and the eyes looking up and off to the side!!!Ashlyn was thrilled to have dibs on the spoon holder. She had to use her fingers to scrape the chocolate off as it had already set up. Of course...she didn't mind! Here are the girls unwrapping their stash from the Weatherly Family. These girls are truly blessed!!! There are so many people that love them!!!!Here is a picture I shot of Aunt Jenn! We are thinking of giving our little one the same middle name as hers. (Michelle)

Bed Rest

I went for one of my OB appointments and the doctor put me on bed rest. I am quite swollen with tenderness in my calf. He seemed concerned about blood clots. I've been doing my best to follow his orders, however with the holidays approaching and two little ones it's been HARD! So far I lost two pounds in one week which I attribute to extra fluid I was holding. The swelling in my legs has also gone down considerably.

I have an ultrasound tomorrow, December 30th to check my placenta. I'm anxious to see her as it's been quite a while!!! I'm currently 3 days shy of being 37 weeks, which they say is full term. Physically, I'm beyond ready for her arrival, however mentally and emotionally, I'm not. She still doesn't have a set name. We think the middle name will be Michelle. (Johnathan's sister's middle name is Michelle to give this little one a family name!). I'm torn between Kinsley and Adalyn. Kinsley is everyones favorite, however before we even started trying for a third, I had it set in my head another girl would be called Adalyn. Another factor is Ashlyn...she likes Adalyn. On her Tganksgiving school assignment, she had to write something she was thankful for for each letter in Thanksgiving. She wrote Adalyn for the A. She also has been making pictures for Baby Sister, and she keeps writing Adalyns name on them. So time will tell what we choose. ;)

Visit with Santa

Ashlyn ran a low grade fever Monday after school, so I decided to keep her home on Tuesday. Of course she woke up feeling like a million bucks, but I still didn't send her because of the schools 24 hr fever free policy. So that morning, we took Jadie to Mothers Day Out, and Ashlyn and I spent some time Christmas shopping. She picked out quite a few gifts for her grandparents and Daddy. She also got to see Santa. She was so impressed with him, thinking he might have been the real Santa and not just one of his helpers! She asked him for an easy bake oven and a ballerina for Jadie.

The next weekend Ashlyn went home with my mom for a few days, so Johnathan and I took Jadie to see Santa. When we got there the line seemed forever, so we tried to talk Jadie into waving and coming back during the work week when it wasn't so crowded. She agreed so we starred towards the parking lot after a quick wave to Santa. Just as we approached the exit she stopped and got a pouty look and said "I wanna sit on Santa's lap.". So we turned around and stood in line. (well John stood with Jadie and I sat on a bench until it was Jadies turn. She was glowing with excitement!!!

School Pictures

Here is Ashlyn's First Grade School Picture. I scanned it so it isn't the best of quality. I don't like that you can't even tell her eyes are blue in it!
I have starting taking pictures at local daycares. Only two schools have called me so far! However, it's been great money! Here is a picture I took of Jadie while trying out a background for a little daycare in China. I hope they like their pictures and I get invited back in the Spring!

Santa Hats

My mom asked me to take pictures of the girls in some Santa hats she bought for them. She is using one of them together in her Christmas letter this year. Ashlyn was very into having her picture taken....while Jadie...wanted to be doing anything else! Interesting thing...it's usually the opposite!!!

Decorating

We decided to decorate the house for Christmas. The girls were so excited since the "stuff" had been out of the attic for two days! I think that was torture on them!!! Jadie of course found a way to entertain herself after I emptied out the ornament storage container! She is so limber!!!

We put on a Christmas movie and started attaching hooks to some new ornaments we bought at Sams.

Here is the finished product. As you see Jadie is gone....she lost interest very quick! Ashlyn lost interest as well so Johnathan and I had to finish the tree....but of course Ashlyn was willing to take credit and stand in front of the finished product! :)
After we finished our tree, the girls went and started to decorate their own. Ashlyn had earned $5 for losing a tooth, so she went to the dollar store earlier that day and bought some tinsel for her tree. She also wanted to use some of the sparkly balls we didn't use on the big tree.Jadie of course was entertaining herself! She didn't get into it until her Daddy came in the room and started to help!
Ashlyn decided that it was more fun to play with the tinsel than to put it on the tree. The girls had a good time taking pictures with their new toy!
And finally, the finished product!

Lemonade and Pappadeaux's

The girls made lemonade! They were soooo proud of themselves! When I emptied the container that night to clean it...I think they added about 8 cups of sugar. (It was all settled on the bottom!)
The next picture is one Johnathan captured while we waited to meet Grandma and Grandpa K. for lunch one afternoon at Pappadeaux's in Houston.

Thirty-THREE

Tomorrow is my thirty-third birthday!!! Crazy to think that means only 7 more years until I'm FOURTY!
The girls surprised me yesterday morning with a really cute card, some new socks!!!, a new A&M wallet, and a new camera bag!!! Each gift was perfect!!! Something I've wanted...but would probably never buy for myself!!!
Yesterday afternoon we left for a friends house to have our annual "Freebird" party and watch A&M beat Nebraska. It was a lot of fun! Then we got the girls in their p.j.'s and headed to my Mama's house.
This morning, I woke up to oodles of drawings from Ashlyn. All were beautifully colored and had written "I hope you have a happy berthay" on them! Too stinkin cute!!!
Those girls just make me light up! Ashlyn is so thoughtful and has such a big heart...and Jadie...she is just a barrel of laughs!!! She always makes me smile!!!
Tonight, Johnathan and I left the girls with my parents and we headed back home for the evening. I have picture orders to complete, as well as a board meeting for the Beaumont Children's Museum tomorrow morning. After all my to do lists are complete, we will head to Lake Charles to stay for 2 nights. We are going to try to knock out some Christmas shopping for family members and the girls while we are without little eyes and ears!
I appreciate my parent's so much for watching our Angels on their 40th Anniversary!

Congratulations Mom and Dad! Thank you for being such awesome role models!!!!

Long Time...No Type!

My goodness it's been a long time since I updated this!!!
Here is a picture of Jadie riding a motorcycle at the South Texas Fair.

Here she is waiting for her friends to arrive at Chick-Fil-A.  We meet every Thursday morning.  This particular day was Halloween.
Here are two pictures from Ashlyn's First Grade School Program. She was one of 3 girls chosen from the 1st grade to square dance! She was quite embarrassed...but did a fantastic job!!! We were so proud of her!!!

I haven't updated this in forever it seems. I have been overwhelmed with photography appointments and editing! I was asked to do Jadie's Mother's Day Out Fall Pictures. So I spent a little bit of time (A LOT of time) working on finishing that! (I have orders in and predict I will walk away with $800 after my expenses and things. Now I have to print all the pictures, sort them, and pass them back out to the parents. (AKA more work!)

I have also been slammed with Christmas Family Pi
ctures. It's been fun, don't get me wrong! I absolutely love doing it...and I love the joy I get from seeing my clients' faces
...but I have definitely taken on too much! Especially being pregnant!

I have a little more than 2 months left before "baby sister" arrives. I know it will fly by because the holidays are mixed in there!! I'm getting rather miserable!

I finally think I am in the clear for a healthy pregnancy. My Complete Previa is now just Low Lying. (Which allows for a normal birth...so n
o planned C-Section, and no more pelvic rest!)

I'm NOT diabetic!!! YEAH!

I've only gained 10 pounds so far...so that is much better than Ashlyn o
r Jadyn's pregnancy!

Our biggest stressed recently with this pregnan
cy is what to name her!!! We have gone back and forth on names...but the ones that stand out the most t
o us are:

Carsyn, Adalyn, Ember, Kinsley, Morgan.

I'm pretty sure we have finally come to a decision...but who knows, Jadyn's name changed quite a few times before she arrived! lol

I honestly don't think Christmas Cards are going to happen this year! I've been so busy taking other people's pictures...I haven't had time to ta
ke any of my own! :(

I'll look through my stuff and see if I can't post any snapshots I've captured since my last blog entry.

GOAL!

Jadie scored her first goal on Saturday at her soccer game. Not only did she score 1....she scored FOUR!!! Way to go Jadie Ann!
Ashlyn also scored a goal from a defensive position!!! I really hate that I don't get to see Ashlyn's soccer games this season. I know Johnathan is just as bummed that he doesn't get to see Jadie play her first season. Both girls have improved so much. I look forward to watching them throughout the years!!!

Jadie's First Soccer Game

We woke the girls up bright and early this morning! They both had soccer games starting at 8. Ashlyn's actually started right at 8 and Jadie's started at 8:30. It basically gave me enough time to watch 10 minutes of Ashlyn's game before I had to walk Jadie over to her field so her game could get started! Jadie's age group (U4) has been combined with U5 (4 and 5 year olds). I'm pretty sure the team we played today were all 5 year olds. On Jadie's team there is only one 5 year old. The rest are young 4's and 3's. Jadie happens to be the baby of the team!
For being the youngest....she did GREAT! The other team was all at least a half a head taller than her...but that didn't keep her from getting in there and kicking at the ball!
She fell down 3 times during the game...and never once cried! (When the other girls fell, their parent's had to come carry them off the field...the tears wouldn't stop!!!) We have such a "Tough Girl", as Jadie calls herself!!!
She didn't score any goals...although...she says she is gonna keep trying to score one for Coach Trey. (Obviously, that is her coaches name! ;)
Johnathan finished up coaching Ashlyn's team...who won!!! Ashlyn scored a goal!!!! They headed over to try to catch Jadie playing...but it was too late!!! I do hope he gets to see her play a bit during this season...it's sooooo cute! And I was sooo impressed that our little princess was able to keep up with all those 5 year olds!!! Way to go Jadie!!!
Here are a few pictures of Jadie's game. Notice the height difference between her and the red team's players! Also notice the smile on our angel's face the ENTIRE time!!!!
